Mr. Felix Ofulue, the Head of Corporate Communication of IKEDC spoke on how they have been able to help the NERC (Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission) achieve its main mandate of bridging the metering gap and also reducing the incident of estimated bills. The objective was met within a short period of time.

Mr. Felix also said that IKEDC is on a mission to meter more customers, targeting another 400,000 customers in  2 years from 2020. That’s not all, the metering program by Ikeja Electric has also created more job opportunities for Nigerians, especially during the COVID-19 lockdown.

He also revealed that the MAP (Meter Asset Provider) program for IKEDC’s customers is still in progress, irrespective of the challenges of logistics during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The power company also metered customers using MD (Maximum Demand), which makes it to perform periodic recertification of meters according to the Regulatory processes.

How to recharge prepaid meter

Recharging your prepaid meter is simple.
