ALL LAGOS STATE POSTAL OR ZIP CODES

by Abbey 27th May 2020
written by Abbey

Postal/zip codes serve as an area navigation tool which makes it convenient for a person to identify a particular location, area, city, or state. Every state in Nigeria has a postal code or a zip code and subsequently, each city, LGA, town or region, has a unique postal code consisting of six digits assigned by the post office headquarters of that state. They help one navigate the state and city easily and without stress.

In Lagos state, there are hundreds of postal codes registered under divisions tagged as metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas. They all come together to form the 20 LGAs in the state. These divisions consist of major highbrow areas to smaller districts, municipalities or localities. For instance, while searching for a zip code of a place in the mainland, always ensure to type the name of the exact location you are searching for, example “Postal code for Surulere” or “Lagos Postal Code for Surulere”. You can even search for the postal codes for the mainland and island with something like this: “Postal Code for Lagos Mainland.”

In this post however, we are going to be compiling a comprehensive list of all the zip codes of various metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas across the entire Lagos State. For anyone looking to visit any particular areas or who want to reach people located in those places, having Lagos postal or zip codes on arm is always a best bet and will make the process for a whole lot easier.
