The Federal Capital Territory Authority is the highest decision-making organization for Nigeria’s Capital. Located at Area 11 Garki, Abuja. The FCTA is responsible for the day-to-day running of the capital city.
From waste management to water supply, the agency has a very big responsibility on its shoulders especially in a city like Abuja which has been ranked as one of the fastest-growing cities in the world.
The Federal Capital Development Authority is headed by a Federal minister who serves as the mayor of the city. The FCTA serves many functions in the nation’s capital which include but are not limited to:
Security and safety measures for the capital
Making decisions about infrastructure in the capital city
Approval of building plans
Provision of facilities and services to residents

FCTA salary for Corpers
The FCTA receives an average of 100 Corps members per year. Although each Corp member is entitled to a monthly allowance from the Federal Government through the National Youth Service Scheme, agencies who receive corps members are also encouraged to give monthly stipends to corps members.
The Federal Capital Territory Administration pays an average of 15,000 Naira to its corps members according to the data collated from more than 10 past corps members of FCTA.
