Mr. Bello hails from Kebbi State, Nigeria. The NSC CEO had his Secondary School education in Ilorin, Kwara State (at the Federal Government College, Ilorin). He later proceeded for his Bachelor’s Degree (Law) at theAhmaduBelloUniversity,Zaria.He worked at the Sokoto State Investment Company after his National Youth Service Corps. While at this Investment Company, he became its General Manager.
In 1998, Mr. Hassan joinedtheNigerianShippersCouncilasthe AssistantDirector(Legal).Heworked his way up tobecometheDirectorof LegalServices.
By 2013, he wasappointmentasExecutiveSecretaryandChiefExecutiveOfficerof the Councilbytheformer President,Dr.GoodluckJonathan.
After his four-year tenure, Mr. Hassan was reappointed by the Federal Government of Nigeria as the Executive Secretary and CEO Nigerian Shippers’ Council.
Mr. Hassan Bello is also a council member at the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Maritime Lawyers Association (MLA), Arbitration Council of Nigeria, Provisional Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC).
