As at 2020, the cut-off mark for Igbinedion University (IUO) is 180. That is, a minimum score of 180 in JAMB/UTME. This makes a candidate eligible to apply and participate in the school’s Post UTME screening exercise. Aim to score high, higher than 180. Any score lower than 180 would not be considered.

  • Five credit passes in O-Level subjects from either WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB. English language and Mathematics are compulsory.
  • At least two passes in A-Level subjects plus a subject from O-Level subjects.
  • Diploma or NCE at credit level pass or more. This must be subjects (related to your course of choice) from a recognized institution.
  • IJMB examination. You can also use your IJMB results – in the relevant subjects.

Igbinedion university admission requirements

The UTME cut-off mark for Igbinedion University is 180. That’s the minimum score accepted. In order to be eligible for admission into a first degree progam at Igbinedion University, candidates must have a minimum of five credits at their O-Level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, etc), not more than two sittings. English Language and Mathematics are compulsory.

In addition, candidates seeking admission into Law should at least a credit pass in Literature in English.

Applicatants awaiting NECO/WAEC/NABTEB results are encouraged to apply. Their results should be available by September when a new academic session commences.

For candidates seeking admission into 200 level, please use any of the qualifications below:

  • At least two passes in A-Level subjects plus a subject from O-Level subjects.
  • Diploma (ND inclusive) or NCE at credit level pass or more. This must be subjects (related to your course of choice) from a recognized institution.
  • IJMB examination. You can also use your IJMB results – in the relevant subjects.

Please note that there age limit as far as offering admission is concerned. Candidates above twenty-two years of age are not be eligible for admission – especially for a first degree progam. Although, older candidates may be admitted under certain circumstances.
