CIPM Nigeria. A thorough guide

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) has been the regulatory body chartered by law in Nigeria to regulate the practice of Human Resources Management. Its vision is to be the number one People Management and Organization Development Institute in Africa and to be respected all over the world.

In 1968, CIPM was originally created as an umbrella Association for Practitioners of Personnel Management as the Personnel Management Association of Nigeria. It was later renamed the Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria in 1973. And lastly, Act No 58 of 1992 chartered the Institute.

The main vision of the organization is to be the foremost People Management and Organizational Development Institute in Africa and to be respected across the world.

The objectives of CIPM are:

This also encourage, extend, disseminate and promote knowledge and the exchange of information and ideas with regard to all questions relating thereto or connect to them

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) is a well-recognized institute and has the backing of the great CFA institute. The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management is recommendable if you wish to show your employers that you are ethical, dedicated, and you have acquired a deep understanding of investment performance and the GIPS.

Cipm certification

Individual, Corporate, and Honorary are the three categories of membership the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management offers its students. Full Member MCIPM, Fellow FCIPM, and Associate ACIPM are the different professional-grade members of the institute with designations. The Fellow designation is the highest of the three designations available.

Cipm courses

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management examination has two curricula Foundation level courses. Two Professional level courses and two Intermediate level courses. According to the institute’s regulations, you need to pass six different examinations, two each at the foundation, intermediate and professional levels.

The CIPM examination process has six stages. They are:
