Franklin worked with Julius Agwu as an assistant. He later proceeded to work with AY Makun and some other artists. Later, Ubi focused more on  promoting different shows.

Around 2010, Ubi Franklin became the manager of music artist, Iyanya. This was shortly before the hit song “kukere” was released. In 2014, when his label had expanded, other artists, including Emma Nyra, Tekno, and Selebobo were signed.

He was named City People Music Awards’ Music Manager of the Year, in 2016. In July 2017, he opened an online service that offers instant home pickup and delivery of laundry. Ube called his service Instant Pickup. He also launched Instant Apartment, an online platform that offers luxury apartments for rent. This was launched the same year. On October 2018, Ubi also launched an Instant Ryde, an online taxi service in his home town Calabar, Cross River state. He did the same at Uyo , Akwa Ibom State.

In 2020, the Cross River State Governor, Benedict Ayade, appointed Franklin as the Special Adviser on Tourism.

Franklin is also an outstanding public speaker. He was one of the speakers at the recent Youth Enterprise Conference organized by Nairabet’s founder, Otunba Akin Alabi.
