The Nigerian Law School was established in 1962 by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The academic institution was created to educate and train its students with the required professional skills that would empower them to work effectively as lawyers and solicitors in improving the world.
The school started operations in its Lagos Campus in 1962 before moving to its present location in 1969. In December 1997, the school’s headquarters was moved from Lagos to Bwari, Abuja, following a directive from the Federal government. The school has campuses in four other locations in Nigeria, namely: the Augustine Nnamani Campus in Agbani, Enugu State, Kano Campus located in Bagauda, Kano state, Yenagoa campus in Bayelsa state and finally Yola campus in Adamawa state.
