Today, the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is the most popular English language proficiency test in the world for globalmigration and higher education studies.

The test measures how people are proficient in English language, especially if they want to work or study in countries which requires Englishlanguage for communication. The IELTS test uses scale of nine bands to identify the levels of proficiency – starting from Band Score 1 (for non-user) to Band Score 9(expert).

There are also coaches that helps you perform better at the test which include – writing, speaking, reading, and listening. The course covers several skills and certificates are given by the British Council upon successful test attempt.

Requirements for booking a test

The following are required if you wish to book a test with the British Council.

  • A valid InternationalPassport. Uploading a clear ID Card during your registration process is essential. Students under 18 years of age must provide a written consent of their parentsor guardian. The IELTS is not for people under 16 years old.
