This scam, also known as the “Nigerian Prince” or “Advance Fee Fraud,” originates from Nigeria and has been plaguing unsuspecting victims for decades. The number “419” refers to the section of the Nigerian Criminal Code that prohibits this type of fraudulent activity.

1. How To Check NABTEB Result
To check your NABTEB result, you need a scratch card. Some students have been dreaming of the idea of not using a scratch card to check their result. If you want to know how to check NABTEB result without scratch card…sorry, it’s not possible. Before you even consider checking your result, buying the scratch card should be your first move.
Follow the steps below to check your NABTEB result:
- Visit the NABTEB result checking portal here: http://eworld.nabtebnigeria.org.
- Type your ‘Candidate Identification Number.
- Choose examination type, for example, May/June.
- Now type the examination year.
- Input the scratch card’s serial number. Then enter the 12-digit PIN on your scratch card.
- Finally, click on the ‘Submit’ button. Wait for your result to pop up. Then print it out if you want.

The Registrar, Professor Ifeoma Isiugo-Abanihe announced the result. It was said that the total number of candidates who registered for the exam was 55,480 in 1,458 centres. The actual number of candidates who sat for the exam was 54,752 (about 98% of those that enrolled).
According to the report from Professor Ifeoma, only 32,697 candidates scored minimum of 5 credits and above, plus English Language and Mathematics (this represents 59.72% of the total candidates).
About 83.5% of candidates who sat for the exam had 5 credits and more, with/without English language and Mathematics (that’s about 45,700 candidates).
3. What you need to know regarding NABTEB result checker for 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015
Checking your NABTEB results in any year (be it 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, or 2015) is pretty simple and straight forward.
First, buy a NABTEB result checker and head to the official result checker page at: http://eworld.nabtebnigeria.org.
When you get to the page, input your candidate number and choose your examination type i.e. Nov/Dec. Now select the year of examination.
Next, input your scratch card’s serial number (at the back of the scratch card) then the 12-digit PIN on your scratch card.
Finally, click on the ‘Submit’ button. Your NABTEB results will show up.

Well, NABTEB was initially established for Nigerians. The body helps candidates secure admission into higher institutions in Nigeria.
To answer the question if the NABTEB result is accepted internationally abroad or outside Nigeria. The reality of this is that this exam does not cross the shores of Nigeria, for now. This exam is only conducted and valid in Nigeria.
If you wish to study abroad and you wrote the NABTEB exam, then you can always contact your foreign institution(s) if they do accept the result. Just talk to them about it. Get more details about your intentional school; it depends on them.
6. Can NABTEB result be used for international scholarship?
In as much as the NABTEB examination was designed to help candidates secure admission into Colleges of Education, Polytechnics and Universities in Nigeria, using this result to bag an international scholarship can be a challenge. The best way to find out is to make an enquiry from the coordinator(s) of the scholarship program.
7. Can WAEC and NABTEB result be combined?
This question is common today. Many students don’t have the full result with flying colors. Combination of results like WAEC and NECO to secure admission in Nigeria has been a common practice.
Now for WAEC and NABTEB, this is quite possible. This combination is possible for almost all institutions in Nigeria.
Nevertheless, you still need to verify this from the higher institution(s) you want to be admitted.
If the course you intend to study at the Polytechnic or University is related to business or technical, then you will even have an upper advantage combining your NABTEB results with WAEC.

Federal Polytechnic Offa Post UTME 2020
For the Post UTME, candidates that chose the Federal Polytechnic Offa as their first choice and obtained a minimum cut – off mark of 150 in the UTME, that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will not be physical screening of applicants. The screening will be through the procedure stated below:
- All Candidates in this category, must possess five (5) O’level subject requirements at credit level in not more than two (2) sittings.
- All candidates in this category, should visit the Polytechnic portal www.fpo.edu.ng to upload their O’ level results, certificates/credentials and fill the security form on the Polytechnic portal.
- The sum of ₦2,000 only shall be paid for this screening exercise. Payment will be made with an ATM card that is Interswitch compatible

The official cut-off mark for the Federal Polytechnic Offa stands at 150. All prospective candidates are expected to have surpassed the threshold in the concluded UTME.

- To apply online for HND (FT) and Part-Time HND programs, candidates are to visit this Polytechnic portal: fpo.edu.ng
- Click on admission to fill application form, and thereafter make payment of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000.00) only for application form and no other charges shall be required. Payment are made online with either VISA or Mastercard.

Requirements for Fed Poly Offa HND program
- Candidates are required to Possess National Diploma (ND), National Innovative Diploma (NID) in their chosen program at not a grade below LOWER CREDIT classification from a recognized/accredited Polytechnic, Monotechnic or Innovation Enterprise Institutions.
- SSC, GCE O’level with at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language & Mathematics obtained at not more than two (2) sittings.
- The National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC) with credit level pass in a trade plus four relevant academic subjects which must include English Language and Mathematics.
- All candidates are required to have at least one year post National Diploma Industrial Training experience
NB Candidates with PASS grade at the ND/NID are eligible for consideration for admission provided they have minimum of two (2) years post Industrial Training experience.
