The principal of the Whitesands school is Lorenzo Manuel David. He has been in Nigeria for over 32 years. Dr. David already had his Masters in Geology from the University of the Philippines before he came to Nigeria.
In 1988, he finished his Ph.D. at the University of Ibadan. After that period, he lectured at the University of Lagos (the Abeokuta Campus) for one year. Dr. David also proceeds to the University of Benin, where he taught for ten years. It was when he was at UNIBEN that he accepted an offer from Ikota Educational Foundation – this happened to pave the way for the beginning of the Whitesands school.
In the year 2000, Whitesands school opened the door for its first batch of students. The first Director was Dr. David.
The school consists of two main branches – the junior and the senior. Also, each of the two main branches has its give principals.
Whitesands school entrance exam 2020
All primary 6 students who want to study at Whitesands school need to take part in the school’s entrance examination.
For 2020, the scheduled date for this exercise is on Saturday, the 7th of March, 2020.
For transfer students (students that want join from JS2, JS3, and SS1), the exam date is on Saturday, 6th of June, 2020.
Please note that supplementary examination dates are arranged for any interested candidates.
The examinations will take place in the school premises.
All candidates coming for the exams must appear in sport attires.
