Yaba College of Technology Secondary School (YCTSS) was established on 27th September, 1999. The original idea was sponsored by Yaba College of Technology chapter of Women in Technical Education (WITED) whose membership was made up of female lectures of Yaba College of Technology during the tenure of Chief (Mrs) F. A. Odugbesan as the Rector (1993-2001). From 75 students at inception, it now has a student population of about 900, over 60 academic and 30 non-academic staff members.
