AAUA History and Background

Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) is one of the best universities in Nigeria. The university is owned and operated by the state government – located in Ondo State, Nigeria.

The institution is officially accredited and recognised by the National Universities Commission (NUC) of Nigeria.

Founded on December 1982, AAUA now has more than 20,000 students. The motto of the university is “For Learning and Service.”

AAUA is formerly known as Ondo State University – which was named after Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin. The acting Vkce-Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University is Olugbenga E. Ige.

The institution offers students courses and programs that bag officially recognised higher education degrees – like bachelor degrees across several areas of study.

The thirty-eight year old university operates on a selective admission policy. This policy is based on entrance examinations and past academic record and grades of its students.

So far, the admission rate range is within 40% to 50% – making AAUA an averagely selective university in Nigeria. International students are also welcome for study.

Fresh students can now use the AAUA Avers to access their details with the school. The portal is also used for checking students’ results. As a fresher, it is advisable that you use your Matric number as your username and password.

– Also use your Matric number as Password – it will be your password.

If you are one of the candidates who chose Adekunle Ajasin University during the previous UTME, the cutt off make for the institution is at least a score of 180 ( for UTME).

On the other side, if you are qualified to go for the post UTME screening exercise by AAUA, then be prepared to score at least 40% – this is its Post UTME cutt off mark.

The UTME cut off mark is 180. That is, you must score at least 180.

For the Post UTME,  a candidate needs a score of at least 40% (although this could vary  depending on the course and department.

Adekunle Ajasin University School (AAUA) School Fees

The acceptance fee for new students is N50,000 (for every course). If you are offered provisional admission into Adekunle Ajasin University, this fee is compulsory.

School fees is now allowed to be paid twice – per semester.

For fresh students, the school fees starts from N100,000, depending on the course and faculty.

Returning students pay N80,000 and above.

AAUA Screening Form and Screening Portal.

To apply for AAUA Post UTME screening exercise, please follow the steps below.

– Visit AAUA’s admission screening portal here: https://putme.aaua.edu.ng. Make sure you have your valid UTME registration number with you. You will use it to create and generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) – for making payment at commercial banks close to you.

– Fill out your UTME registration number and your full name – as they are on your UTME slip. Make sure you provide correct details while registering and when making payments.

– You are to get a print-out containing the RRR number you received from the bank. You will need to pay N2,000.

– When the bank payment is successful, return to the AAUA port and complete the Biodata form online.

– Next click on CAPS – it’s on the left side of the webpage.

– Choose the option “Admission Status”.

– You will find the status of your admission. Under the Admission Profile, you can accept or reject your admission offer.
